The blacks, whites and grays of the outdoors are slowing transforming as spring colors emerge from the earth and sky while water softens into reflections of the world around it. This is an opportunity to sharpen your basic drawing skills while at the same time enhance your use and knowledge of color. We will work from photos and still life with an emphasis on subjects from the natural world.
Various dry color media such as colored pencils, dry pastels, oil pastels, are welcome. Experience is helpful but not necessary as instruction will be available for basic drawing in black and white and use of colored media. Join watercolor and pastel artist Mary Ann McCarthy McArdle as we connect with the awakening world outside our windows.
Class format: We will meet together using Zoom video conferencing. An invite will be emailed to you before the first class session, and you'll need internet access on your computer, tablet, or phone to participate.
