This class is for students who love to pencil sketch and want to improve their drawing skills and attention to detail. Students will learn the basic elements of drawing as they work with pencil, charcoal, and color pencil. Instruction will be given on drawing from observation and from memory.

Class format: We will meet together using Zoom video conferencing. An invite will be emailed to you before the first class session, and you'll need internet access on your computer, tablet, or phone to participate.

 

Supply list

Pencils, kneaded eraser, sharpener, charcoal pencil, charcoal sticks, sketch pad, paper stumps, ruler ( a basic drawing kit would have the majority of it.)

Learn a variety of clay forming techniques including pinch, coil, and slab. Explore decorating your clay surface using stamping, carving, painting, and more.

Supply list: Clay and underglazes provided. Contactless pick up at EAC will be scheduled. Students will drop projects off at EAC for instructor to bisque and clear glaze fire.
