This class is for students who love to pencil sketch and want to improve their drawing skills and attention to detail. Students will learn the basic elements of drawing as they work with pencil, charcoal, and color pencil. Instruction will be given on drawing from observation and from memory.
Class format: We will meet together using Zoom video conferencing. An invite will be emailed to you before the first class session, and you'll need internet access on your computer, tablet, or phone to participate.
 
Supply list
Pencils, kneaded eraser, sharpener, charcoal pencil, charcoal sticks, sketch pad, paper stumps, ruler ( a basic drawing kit would have the majority of it.)
Students will learn the basics of claymation and video production. We will talk about character design, storyboarding, animation, video editing, and sound editing. By the end of the class students will  have made their own short animation and have all the skills and tools they need to make their own films.

Supplies: Students will need something to take photos, either a smartphone or digital camera and a compatible tripod (tripods can be as cheap as $15, but students really do need one for stop motion), and at least one pack of non-hardening modeling clay (suggested links: here and here), paper + some drawing supplies.
